Obituary of Frank Zardezed Jr.
Frank Zardezed, 81, of Breesport, New York passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on January 17, 2025. He was born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania on July 15, 1943 to Frank and Lillian Zardezed. Frank loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He played football at North Arlington High School. After he graduated from high school, Frank proudly served in the US Air Force for 20 years before retiring. Frank then attended Elmira College and graduated with a BS degree before working for the US Postal Service which is where he had his final retirement.
Frank loved his family. He was his children's and grandchildren's greatest cheerleader and loved going to see all of their performances, sporting events, and landmark events. He was a devout Catholic and was devoted to service as a member of the Knights of Columbus, a CCD teacher, a Pre CANA sponsor, a eucharistic minister, and facilitated mass at nursing homes. Frank loved to travel and spend time with people. He loved music and especially enjoyed singing and dancing to The Temptations. Frank's greatest dream was to win the lottery so that he could help as many people with his winnings as he could.
Frank is preceded in death by his sister Joan Huber and his parents Frank and Lillian Zardezed. Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years Ruth Zardezed, sister Judy Zardezed, brother Michael Zardezed and sister-in-law Nina Zardezed, his daughter Yvonne DePalma and son-in-law Charles DePalma, his son Frank Zardezed and daughter-in-law Shannon Zardezed, and his son Bryan Zardezed and daughter-in-law Shannon Zardezed along with 8 grandchildren.
In his wishes, a private ceremony will be held with his family.
"When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration
And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art."
Stuart K. Hine - "How Great Thou Art"
