Our dear mother Patricia L. Roark, of Elmira, NY, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, in her daughter's home in Orange Park, FL. Born on March 26, 1942 in Elmira, Patricia was the daughter of the late Adoloph and Carmella Long.

An avid sewer, Patricia enjoyed quilting, knitting and sewing and spent many hours volunteering at the Gallery in Tombstone, AZ, surrounded by her friends. Patricia and Richard also enjoyed volunteering and assisting with the many programs that support the soldiers at Fort Huachuca and American Legion, every year.

She was known for her strong, bold, and protective personality and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children; Timothy Matthews, Katherine M. Segui, Carolyn M. Cason, Belinda M. Helmlinger, Kirk Matthews, Patrick Matthews and 11 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard B. Roark Sr., her parents Adoloph and Carmella Long, brothers; James Long, David Long and Adolph Long Jr.

Funeral services will be held May 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY.
