Obituary of Helen Louise Taylor

TAYLOR, Helen Louise Age 77, formerly of Bloxom, VA. Helen was born November 13, 1947 in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late Lee A. and Wanda I (Davis) Bliss. She passed away on Tuesday evening, March 2, 2025. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her infant son Lawrence C. Hamilton; husband George E. Taylor 2021; brothers Jeffery & Gary Bliss; and brothers in law Roy Herbst, and Edward Eddy. She is survived by her siblings Susan Herbst, Mary Eddy, Jan (Chris) Calloway, Judy (Brian) Cook, David R. Bliss, and Laurie L. Bliss; along with her extended family and dear friends. Helen was a graduate of Corning West High School; she went on to pursue and receive her Master's Degree and excel in her chosen profession of accounting. She worked for Arnot Odgen in Elmira, NCR in Delaware, and several other offices during her life in Virginia. Running her own home accounting office, she worked in tax preparation and was able to assist seniors with her knowledge. Helen will be remembered for her indominable will that gained a few nicknames that celebrated her commitment and attitude. Private services will be held with family.
