Obituary of Charles H. Sindelar
Charles H. Sindelar passed away June 9, 2025 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born in Elmira, NY, son of the late Joseph and Beatrice Sindelar on December 25, 1942. He worked for Red Ten Electronics as a TV Technician and Eastern Metal as a Spray Painter. He served his country in the US Navy on the USS Independence CVA 62 Aircraft Carrier during the Cuban Crisis. He enjoyed restoring cars and following his nephew Joey on the golf course or on TV. Charles is survived by his wife Elsie (Walters) Sindelar of 59 years; brothers Joe and Bob; sisters Helen Kohan and Nancy (Ross) Barnes; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased in death by his brother Jimmy Sindelar and sister Rosie Sweet. Family and friends are invited to his graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery, 715 W.Broad Street in Horseheads, NY on June 21, 2025 at 11:00am.
Following the service, there will be snacks and coffee at Charles' house.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Charles name to any veterans' charity.
