Wayne Tyson

Obituary of Wayne L. Tyson

In Loving Memory of Wayne Tyson July 16, 1951 – June 13, 2025 Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Bennet Tyson Jr. and Margaret Lilly and his grandparents Bennet Sr. and Irene Tyson, along with beloved family members whose memories he carried with him always. Though they are no longer here in body, their spirits no doubt welcomed him with open arms. Wayne is survived by: Elsie Tyson and Barb Tyson; sisters Marsha Bennett, Vivian Wendella, Bonnie Tyson, and Mary Minnier; children Treasa (Shawn) Snowman, Michael (Tanya) Tyson, Jason (Jody) Tyson, Brian (Sharon) Tyson, Rhiannon (William) Estrada; grandchildren Shawn, Kenneth, Daniel, Aspen, Wayne, Autumn, Jaiden, Nikki, Brian Michael, Jorden (Kayla), Zachary (Emily), Kobe, Angel, and Kya; along with 12 great grandchildren. Wayne was a man of many talents and even more heart. A true jack of all trades, he found joy in the simple things – casting a line on a quiet lake, the thrill of a good hunt, or a competitive game of pool. His love for Texas Roadhouse was as big as his personality, and his presence could light up any room with warmth, wit, and wisdom. But above all, Wayne's greatest pride was his family. His children were the heart of his world, and his grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy. Wayne was also a guiding light to his many nieces and nephews who saw him not just as family, but as a father figure. Together, Wayne, Elsie, and Barb showed that family isn't defined by structure, but by love. They proved that even in blended families, unity and respect can flourish – and that raising children with kindness and purposed is always possible, no matter the circumstances. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the hospice care team – Amanda, Abby, and Brandi – for their compassion, support, and the comfort they provided during our father's final chapter. Your care meant the world. A special and heartfelt thank you also goes to Elsie. You helped carry this family when it mattered the most. Bonnie, Kayla, Tina Rose, Gina, and Holly – Your love, dedication and tireless efforts will never be forgotten. Wayne's hands may have crafted many things, but the strongest things he even built was the family he leaves behind. His legacy lives on in every memory shared, every moment of laughter and the dinner table. We will forever love and miss you Dad, Brother, Grandpa, Uncle. Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on July 19th, 2025 at 2pm at 309 S. Greenbush Road, Erin, NY 14838
