Obituary of Jeannine Marie Zimmer

Age 80, of Horseheads, NY was born March 27, 1945 in Bathurst, New Brunswick Canada. She passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 28, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Gary R. Sutfin and her canine companion Gabby, who she inherited from her neighbor, Debbie, who also preceded her in death. Survivors that are left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Denise and Ken Sacharczyk of Westhampton, MA; Debbie and Jeff Mospan of Horseheads, NY; Gerry J. Sutfin of Horseheads, NY; adored grandchildren: Isabella and Victoria Sacharczyk; Austin and Lucas Mospan; sisters: Denise (Paul) Topichak of Hammondsport, NY; Claudette (Paul) Frayer of North Carolina; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and one aunt and many cousins in Canada. She also is survived by all of her neighbors who have been so kind and gracious throughout the years. Jeannine retired from Arnot Ogden Medical Center as a clinical nurse assistant after 25 dedicated years of service. After retiring Jeannine was a caretaker in Chemung and Steuben counties. She cared for her beloved Ed for 11 years. Family was everything to Jeannine. She loved traveling with family especially her grandkids. She supported them through all of their activities and was there for them through thick and thin. She was so proud to attend their graduations. In 2004 Jeannine was so pleased to become a United States citizen. At this time there will be no services announced. A Celebration of Jeannine’s life will be held at a later date and time.
