Obituary of James Edward Ridley

JAMES EDWARD RIDLEY Age 76 of Elmira, NY, passed away on August 6, 2025. He was the son of the late James Lee Woods and Daisy May Ridley. He is survived his partner of 13 years, Rosemary Tucker; his children Quiana S. Ridley, James T. Ridley, David Ridley, and Stephanie Ridley; along with dear grandchildren, great grandchildren, with a host of extended family and friends James was a United States Navy Veteran of 22 years, serving from 1972 – 1994 on various Sea Commands as well as Shore Commands. He retired in June 1994 and returned to Elmira, NY in 1998. In his retirement, James was a fan of the Buffalo Bills, and NASCAR. He was also an avid bowler and fisherman. His family and friends are invited to his graveside memorial with full military honors on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:00pm, in Rural Home Cemetery, off of Hibbard Road, in Big Flats, NY.
