Obituary of Bonnie L. Wead

Bonnie L. Wead Age, 83 of Beaver Dams, NY, was born November 10, 1941 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Lyle and Lelia (Anthony) Austin. She peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, August 16, 2025 with her family around her. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, Norm Wead; brother, Kenneth Austin; sister, Shirley Dean. She is survived by her children: Lynnette Garner, Yvonne Pryslopski, Norman (Michelle) Wead Jr., Robert Wead and Lyle (Jessica) Wead; grandchildren: Matt (Amanda), Tabitha (Mike), Kyle, Harley, Johnathan, Sarah, Me`chel, Jessica, James, Heaven, Levi and Fenix; great grandchildren: Lila, Eric, Caroline, Mitchell, Samuel and Aubrey; along with several nieces and nephews. Bonnie worked at Westinghouse for 5 years and at the Lovin Oven in the Arnot Mall. She is known for her "Grandma Goodies". She loved baking and selling her baked goods at the Farmers Market in Montour Falls, NY. She loved gardening, watching her flowers and vegetables grow. She also loved crocheting and doing crafts as well. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends. If sending flowers, she requested ones that could be planted. Otherwise memorial donations in Bonnie's name may be directed to the Falck Cancer Center 600 Roe Ave. Elmira, NY 14905. Bonnie's Celebration of Life will be announced when all of the details have been completed.
