Obituary of Perry M. Elliott Jr.

Perry M. Elliott Jr. Perry Monroe Elliott Jr. age 78, of Elmira Heights, NY, passed away on August 9, 2025. He was born to the late Perry M. and Betty Jane (Coats) Elliott. Perry was the heart of his family and the biggest cheerleader for his grandchildren, never missing a game or event if he didn't have to. His hearty laugh, generous spirit and genuine kindness made everyone feel welcome and loved. He especially cherished family vacations and holidays, where memories were made that will last a lifetime. Playing golf with family and friends and riding his motorcycle were truly loved pastimes. Always there when you needed him, Perry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and togetherness that his family and friends will carry forever. Perry is survived by his daughter Sara (Craig) Rhode; sons Otto (Dove) Miller and Van Elliott; siblings Kathy Rhoads, Mark (Kim) Elliott and Lori (Jim) Winfield; grandchildren Cameron, Hanna, Banjamin and Holland, who were his greatest joy, along with many family and friends. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Rose Mary (Rumsey) Elliott; sons Lawrence (Tim) and Chrisitan (Tom) Elliott; siblings Vickey Farrell and James Elliott. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family. Should you want to celebrate Perry and his life, do things he loved the most: cheer on the grandchildren, take a family trip, enjoy a round of golf, or ride with the wind at your back. Just remember to take a step back and take it all in, you never know what you have until it's gone.
