Obituary of Barbara Ann Smith

Barbara Ann Smith It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother Barb, age 84 of Owego NY, on September 18, 2025 Barb was predeceased by her husband Duane Smith Sr., mother Ada Jane Race, father Charles King Sr., brother Charlie King Jr., sister Wanda Perry, step-son Duane Smith Jr., and grandson Christopher Hamm. She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Fisher; sons Dale (Wendi) Hamm and Richard (Holly) Hamm Jr.; daughters Patricia Kemak, Denise (Jeremy) Frink, and Lucinda Smith; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other family members and dear friends. Barb resided in Virginia for 26 years as a wife and homemaker to her loving husband Duane. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, puzzle books, flowers, and feeding her hummingbirds. Later, she moved home to Owego to spend her remaining years with family. Mom, your memory is a blessing and you will forever stay close in our hearts. Remembering your beautiful smile, warm embracing hugs, and always telling us you love us. A private gathering will take place at the convenience of the family.
