Obituary of Bessie Nestopoulos

Bessie Nestopoulos Age 90 of Horseheads, NY. She was born April 25, 1935 in Sparta, Greece, daughter of the late Chris and Matina (Limberakis) Gkikas. Bessie passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30th 2025. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Matina; and her husband Nick Nestopoulos in 2011. She is survived by two daughters: Christina Bacalles, and Georgia Douda; brother Louis (Monique) Gkikas of Sarasota, FL; along with dear nieces, Matina & Sophia, and nephew Christopher Gkikas. Bessie spent many years at the family restaurant, Mano's Diner, where her dedication for work was only matched by her dedication to her family. Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads on Monday, October 6th, 2025 at 1 pm. Committal and interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, at 2 pm.
