Obituary of Joyce Louise Dove Herrmann

Joyce Louise Dove Herrmann of Salisbury North Carolina passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Born in Bradford Pennsylvania on March 4, 1930. She was the daughter of Percy Dove and Carrie Smith. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband of 66 years, Louis Herrmann. Joyce was a native of New York State and worked as a cook in the Horseheads New York school system and was a member of the United Methodist Church. She also was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Joyce and Louis retired to Florida and resided in Lake Alfred for 35 years before she moved in with her son Donald and daughter-in-law Rebecca to Salisbury, North Carolina. There she made many more new friends. She enjoyed games, puzzles, watching old westerns and gatherings with many friends and family. Those left to cherish her memory are her son’s Donald (Rebecca), Raymond (Karen), grandson’s Bryan (Kimberly), Matthew (Sandra) and great grandchildren, Jaxon, Kelsey, Kameron and Isabella. Surviving brothers and sisters include Robert Drake, Peggy Drake, Richard Dove (Judy), and Gwen Crandall in addition to several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will take place at a future date.
