Sharlene A. (Cavaluzzi) Huntley

Age 77 of Horseheads, NY. Sharlene passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, October 17th, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband Alva, of 60 years this October 8th, along with her parents; James and Margaret Cavaluzzi; sisters and brothers, Rita Lattari, Edward, Anthony, James, and Richard Cavaluzzi, Grace Rhode, Sally Cuyle, Anna Marie Stuart, and Joseph and Dee Dee Cavaluzzi. Sharlene graduated from Elmira Free Academy, and retired from Adtranz – now CAF USA – of Elmira Heights. She is survived by her sons Christopher (Catherine) Huntley, and Jason (Lisa) Huntley; grandchildren Carter and Emily Huntley; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister-in-law Charlotte Cavaluzzi; brother-in-law Larry (Tim Decker) Cavaluzzi; along with several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

A heartfelt thanks to Sharlene's care team, Cathy Huntley, Tiffany Davis, Kirsten Dunn, Tracy Feaster, Daisy O'Dell, and Daja White – for the exceptional care they've given Sharlene for the past two years, and Karen Moore for her love and support. A heartful thanks her hospice nurse Tonya, social worker Diane for all the care and support they provided. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to the Alzheimer Association.

Family and friends are invited to visit Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads, NY on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 from 2-4 pm, with prayers offered at 4 pm.

Private burial will be held with family in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery in Elmira.
