Obituary of Sharon L. Rhode

Sharon L. Rhode, age 84 of Lowman, NY passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025. She was born on November 17, 1940, in Mansfield, PA, the only daughter of Val and Lucille Carlson. Sharon married the love of her life, James L. Rhode, on October 30, 1961, and would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year. She retired from Arnot Ogden hospital in Elmira, NY after more than 30 years in nursing. Sharon was predeceased by her parents. Sharon was an avid reader, traveled the world with her husband and friends, and loved collecting Franklin Heirloom dolls. She was a member of Eastern Star, Baldwin Women’s Auxiliary, and volunteered at the Corning Classic. Sharon is survived by her loving husband James Rhode; son James (Mary) Rhode, daughter Teri (Pat) McIntyre, son Craig (Sara) Rhode, and daughter Michele (Mike) Blanchard. Grandchildren Seth, Sadie, Michael, Cameron, Nicholas, Hanna, and Benjamin. Great grandchild, Evelynn Collins and some very special friends, Shirley Stage, Joyce Rhode, Doris Tillotson, and Fran Thomas.
