Obituary of Frank W. Mix

Frank W. Mix Age 98, formerly of Erin, NY. He was born August 19, 1927 in Hinsdale, NY, the son of the late Henry and Myrtle (Oviatt) Mix. Frank passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21st, 2025 – joining his wife Sandra, who passed in June. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughters Linda Spence, and Karen Husner; and his beloved wife of over 62 years, Sandra L. (Rosekrans) Mix. Frank is survived by their children Frank (Melanie) Mix of Athens, PA, Missy (Dr. Aleksander) Rupik of Horseheads, NY, and Marianna (Bryan) White of Elmira, NY; son in law Richard Husner Sr., of Aynor, SC; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Frank served in the Air Force during World War II from 1946 to 1947, joining the workforce soon after returning from duty. He retired (early) from Thatcher Glass in 1985, after nearly 40 years of service. He and Sandra were married on July 6th, 1962. Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads, NY on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 from 11 am to noon. His funeral service, officiated by Rev. Kevin J. Austin, will be held there at noon. Following will be a procession to North Chemung Cemetery for committal and interment.
