Obituary of Edward L. Ryan Jr.

Edward L. Ryan Jr. July 20,1943 - December 23, 2025 Ed passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at Bampa's House, surrounded by love. Ed is survived by his wife Marlene (VanCuren) Ryan; daughter Traci Hoffman; son Daniel Ryan; three grandsons Mitchell Hoffman, Tyler Hoffman, and Ryan Hoffman; sister Mary Hamlin, and her two daughters, Tammy Howe and Robin Sherman. Ed spent 30 years at Anchor Glass in Elmira Heights working as a tool and die maker. In addition to his full-time job, Ed owned and operated his own home construction company which brought him much enjoyment and over the years transformed some amazing projects. As requested by the family and Ed's wishes there will be no calling hours or service. Donations if desired can be made to the Bampa's House at 170 East First Street, Corning NY 14830. In the end the Bampa's House not only brought peace and solace to Ed, but to his family and friends. There would be no greater gesture than to ensure that Bampa's House can continue to help more families in the manner in which they helped Ed's.
