Bishop III, Harrison "Sonny"

Age 86, formerly of Crane Road, in Horseheads, NY. Sonny was born January 26, 1940 in Sayre, PA, the son of the late Harrison S. and Jane (Ewald) Bishop Jr. He passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, February 12th, 2026, at Absolut Care At Three Rivers, in Painted Post, NY.

In addition to his parents, Sonny was predeceased by his sons Jack Bishop in 2007, and "Bub" Harrison S. Bishop IV in 2014; as well as siblings, and in laws Mary (Robert) Brewer, Barbara (Ray) Payne, and Larry Bishop. He is survived by his daughter Hope Bishop, and her mother Joanne Howard, both of Watertown, NY; sisters Joyce Bishop of Port Crane, NY, Nancy Bishop of Big Flats, NY, Cathy (Mark) Storch of Elmira, and Jane (Mark) Sozanski of Elmira; along with his extended family and dear friends.

Sonny was a carpenter by trade. He worked for St. Joseph's Hospital on cabinetry and renovations, and joined his family in their business of H. Bishop & Sons, Elmira, NY.

Private services will be held, with a memorial Celebration of Sonny's Life to be announced at a later date.
