Ruth E. Goyette

Age 86 of Horseheads, NY. She was born October 27, 1939 in Ithaca, daughter to the late Seymour Rathbun and Edna Poppino, and passed away Monday, May 4, 2026. Her loving husband of 60 years Roger Goyette predeceased her in death in 2016. She is also predeceased by her two brothers Keith and David Rathbun; son-in-law Scott Beverly and grandson-in-law Jordan Adams. She is survived by her children Roger Goyette Jr., Karen (Phil) Corby and Teresa (Bob) Morris; grandchildren Barbara Goyette, Joshua Beverly, Matthew Beverly, Raven Goyette and Chasse Goyette; great grandchildren Kirstin Weber, Benjiman (Allie) Weber and Lindzey Goyette; great great granddaughter Ellianna Adams; brothers Paul Rathbun and Glenn Rathbun; sister Carol Rathbun; special nephew Glenn (Wayne) Rathbun; special neighbor Dave Kane and many other loved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ruth was everyone's Grams. She was welcoming and loving to all and her house was always the one to gather at. She was a woman of strong faith who attended Community Wesleyan Church in Horseheads and sang in the choir at the Ray of Hope Church. In her free time, she loved to sew. Before retiring she worked a job she treasured in the cafeteria of Horseheads School District. She was the center of the world to many and will be missed deeply.
