Catherine E. Barr, 61, of Horseheads, NY, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026. She was born April 2, 1965, in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Daniel and Sara (Seeley) Pastrick.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband, Daniel M. Barr, Jr.; her children, Tara and Carissa Marshall, Theresa Barr, Danielle Barr, and Daniel JR Barr, all from Horseheads; her cherished grandchildren, Logan, Tyler, Laykin, Ryder, Raynelle, and Braden; her brother, Terry Pastrick of Horseheads; and several beloved nieces and nephews, including Nicholas Hoose, Andrew Morgan, Ashley Morrow, Renee Edwards, Emily Edwards, and Maliah Hoose.

Family was the center of Catherine’s life, and she especially adored spending time with her six grandchildren. She was employed for many years at Paramount Bowling Center, where she enjoyed night bowling with friends and working behind the counter, always surrounded by conversation and laughter and formed many lasting friendships there. She also worked alongside her father at Pastrick’s Sporting Goods. Catherine was known for her hard work, kindness, friendly spirit and helping anyone in need. Family and friends are invited to visit Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Thursday, May 21st from 4 to 7 pm. Her memorial service will follow at 7pm.
