Obituary of June I. Fitzgerald

June I. Fitzgerald Age 85, was born August 11, 1940 in Bentley Creek, PA, the daughter of the late Gerald and Edith (Cook) Houston. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at St. Joseph's Hospital SNF. Her son, Douglas Fitzgerald; brother, Joseph Houston; brother-in-law, Howard Miller also preceded her in death. Survivors left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, Jack O. Baumgartner; sons, Brian Fitzgerald and Martin Fitzgerald; sister, Caroline Miller; sister-in-law's, Ida (Phil) Beard; Virgie Matheney; along with several nieces and nephews. June retired from the NYSDOC after several years of dedicated service in the store house. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads, New York, on Friday, August 7, 2026; from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. June will be laid to rest in the Woodlawn National Cemetery at a later date and time.
