Obituary of Marilyn K. Dalrymple

Marilyn K. Dalrymple Age 70 of Horseheads and Seneca Lake, passed away after an extended illness on Monday, April 13, 2015, surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born in Corning, NY, to Harry and Elsie (Rorick) Reed. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of nearly 32 years, David Dalrymple; children, Karen Wilkins of Trumansburg, NY, David (Sue) Dalrymple Jr. of Rockford, MI, Lisa (Jody Buckley) DePadua of Horseheads, NY, Debbie (Paul Shebetka) Jaynes of Stuart, FL; known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, Danielle, Lucia, Matt, Collin, Trevor and her four-legged grand doggie, Baxter; great grandchild, Ryder; brother, Harry Reed Jr. of Elmira, NY; sister, Linda Piper of Elmira, NY; many nieces, nephews and special friends that she made in Horseheads, Watkins Glen, Myrtle Beach and Venice, FL. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was also predeceased by her brother, Douglas Reed. Marilyn was employed at Westinghouse and Winchester Optical. Marilyn was a loving wife, mom, step mom, sister, and Mimi to her grandkids. She had so many friends; too many to name. She was loved by many and always made a lasting impression. She was an avid golfer and member of the Corning Country Club and Watkins Glen Golf Course. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, at the beach and Seneca Lake. Marilyn was also active with the ARC of Schuyler County. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 South Main Street, Horseheads, NY on Thursday, April 16, 2015, from 4-7:00 pm. Services celebrating her life will take place privately.
