Obituary of Ernestine A. Isaacs

Ernestine A. Isaacs Age 82 of Horseheads and formerly a longtime resident of Breesport-N. Chemung Rd. Lowman passed away April 18, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Keith Isaacs in 2007; and more recently her son, Terry; and brother, Charles Weir. Ernestine is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Isaacs of Elmira Heights, Susan (Gary) Jerzak of Horseheads and Cheryl (Paul) Passanante of Elmira; nine grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Weir; sisters-in-law, Joanne Weir and Mary (Bob) Walb; brother-in-law, Dean Isaacs; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ernestine worked for the Board of Elections in the Town of Baldwin for many years. She retired after 20 years as a unit clerk from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira. She was also a member and past matron of Eastern Star Excelsior Southern Light Chapter #323. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main St., Horseheads on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, from 4-7:00 pm. Her service will be celebrated there at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours at 7:00 pm. Private burial service in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
