Obituary of Andrew Kerrick

Andrew Kerrick Age 90 and long time resident of Segar Rd. Horseheads passed away after a brief illness Friday, May 1, 2015, in Hornell. Andrew was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Helen (Obuhanych) Kerrick in 2004. His surviving family includes his sons and daughters-in-law, David Kerrick of Lancaster, NY, Ronald and Linda Kerrick of Silver Spring, MD, Greg and Barbara Kerrick of Wayland, NY; grandchildren, Rachael (Randall) Householder, Adam Kerrick, Eric Jordan, Jennifer (David) Ford and Emily Kerrick; sisters, Irene Waytena of Texas, Pauline Gibbs of Elmira Heights, and Helen Delansky of South Carolina; brother-in-law, David Obuhanych of Fall Brook, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Andrew was born in Elmira, NY on July 17, 1924, to Stephen and Anna Kerrick. He was a retired engineer with NYSEG in Horseheads and veteran of the US Army Air Corps. Andrew was a faithful and devote member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church in Corning, NY, member of Horseheads Elks and Elmira Heights American Legion. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 3-5:00 p.m. Parastas at the funeral home Monday evening at 5:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 10:00 am with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery in Elmira Heights, NY.
