Obituary of Lee Russ

RUSS, Lee E. Age 79 and longtime resident of Willow St. in Big Flats passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sun May 31, 2015. Lee was born in Corning, NY to Earl and Cecile (Stowell) Russ. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Anna V. (Voorhees) Russ; Son, Karl Russ also of Big Flats, Granddchildren, Brittany Russ and Joshua Russ of Geneva; Several other extended family members and friends. Lee was a retired machinist having owned and operated his own machine shop, Russ Machine Co. in Big Flats. He was also a buyer for Corning Inc. and former proprietor of Browns Liquor Store in Elmira. He was a dedicated family man and friend to many. Service with Barber Funeral Home is private and will take place at the convenience of his family.
