Obituary of Thomas L. Oliver

Oliver, Thomas L. age 66 passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at home. Tom was born in Cooperstown, NY, to Leland and Doris (Wood) Oliver. Tom was employed with Hilliard Corp. in Elmira, NY, as an industrial engineer. He is survived by his, wife, Joan A. Oliver; son and daughters, Jeffrey Oliver of Elmira, Bethany (Ernie Spaulding) Oliver of Corning, Christy Oliver of Buffalo; mother, Doris Oliver of Patterson, CA; brother, Michael (Mary) Oliver of Patterson, CA; sister-in-law, Nancy Oliver of Seymour , TN; several nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins and close and caring friends. Tom was predeceased by his father, Leland; and brother, Stephen Oliver. Tom was a member of First United Methodist Church in Horseheads and active there in outreach missions and bible study. He was a classic car enthusiast enjoying time restoring his 1970 Barracuda. Tom also enjoyed model trains. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Thursday, July 30, 2015, from 4-7:00 pm Funeral service will take place in First United Methodist Church, 1034 West Broad St., Horseheads on Friday, July 31, 2015, at 10AM.
