Death is never easy even if it expected, It is still our enemy death. God will defeat and swallow up death, Forever.

I want to offer my condolences to the Avery family. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death and it pains our creator who has promise to bring our love one back to life. Jesus promised at John 5:28, 29 that ""all those in the memorial tombs will come out"" and he proved that it will happen by resurrecting Lazarus. Our creator promises to swallow up death forever""(Isaiah 25:8) I hope these words give all of you comfort.

To Lew's family. We had hoped to pay our respects in person this afternoon however we unable to. We do wish to send our sympathy for your loss. Although we didn't know Lew very well he was always a ""gentle""man whenever we were together at Mike & Paula's for holiday dinners. We are truly sorry he was taken from you at such a young age. Trust in God and he will be with you during this time of grief.

To Lew's Family, especially Darla,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you all as you grieve the loss of your husband, dad or brother. Remember Christ's own words from John, Chapter 11 when He told Martha ""I am the Resurrection and the Life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"". Of course our Christian faith would have us loudly profess ""Yes Lord""! Think of how privileged we are knowing that our reward for believing is not living in pain here on Earth for an extra day, week, month, year, but for life eternally gazing at the Lord. For He has a room reserved for each of us where there will be no pain, no sorrow, no desires for anything outside of reach.
I am sorry that I will not be able to join you all tomorrow in the celebration of Lew's life on earth and the rejoicing of his entrance into heaven. I will be traveling to the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Massachusetts in the morning for the weekend long celebration of the feast of Jesus' Divine Mercy. I will say special prayers for Lew and your family while I am there.
I will close with the closing prayer of the Divine Mercy Prayers adapted for you all - ""Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon Lew and his family and increase Your mercy in them, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit themselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.""
