Obituary of Kathleen H. Granger

GRANGER, Kathleen H. Age 99 of Elmira Heights, passed away May 1, 2016. She was born April 14, 1917 in Parsons, WV to Curtin and Bertie (Long) Snyder. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul in 1991, son-in-law, Kenneth Pellor in 2007 and grandson, Jason Reib in 1978 and is survived by her daughters and son, Joyce Pellor of Horseheads, Eileen (John) Reib of Elmira Heights, Gary (Pauline) Granger of Corning; Grandchildren, Shawn (Sharon) Granger, Kevin (Kathleen Whimple) Granger, Gary Granger; Crystal Reib, Jesse Reib, great grandchildren, Kathleen, Benjamin, Carolyn, Allen, Elizabeth, Alexander, Caroline, Theresa, Casey, Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Ruth Snyder, Charles Snyder, Eleanor Cripe, Richard Wheat, Ronald Wheat, Elsie Winnick, and Dorothy Coddington. Kathleen was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church, Elmira Heights Historical Society, DAR, Widows Support Group, and the Red Hatters. She also volunteered for AARP and Meals on Wheels and was active at both Oakwood and Pine Valley United Methodist Churches. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Thurs. May 5, 2016 from 4-7:00 pm. Her service will take place there on Friday May 6, 2016 at 10:00 am. The Rev. Fred Dyer will officiate.
