Obituary of Thomas R. Stansfield

STANSFIELD, Thomas R. Age 79 of Ormiston Hill Rd. Breesport, NY, passed away at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY, after an extended illness on Fri. June 17, 2016. Tom was born in Elmira, NY, on Aug. 2, 1936 to the late Harold and Elizabeth (Pavlina) Stansfield. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Stansfield; Daughters, Theresa Sincock of Ithaca, NY, Tracey (Brian) Stansfield of Horseheads, NY, Angela (Thomas) McCluhan of Peachtree City, GA, Sharon (Matthew) Castle of Waukon, IA, Jennifer Stansfield of Addison, NY; Grandchildren, Kyle (MiMi) Sincock, Douglas and Trey Sincock; Amber (Ian) Thatcher, Kurt (Ellen) Bates, Samantha Bates, Natasha McCluhan, Matthew, Sarah, Hannah, Thomas and Elizabeth Castle, Jessica (Anthony) Diaz, Erica Russell, Dale and Dean Durfee; Great grandchildren, Liliana, Gabriella, and Mileena Thatcher; Sister, Marie Blencowe and aunt Florence Pavlina several nieces, nephews and friends including George (Jennifer) West, Clyde (Irene) Palmer, John (Nancy) Sterling, Linda Card and the Nearing family in Wilcox, PA. He was also predeceased by his infant son, Thomas Jr.; brothers, Bernard, Raymond, and Arthur “Jack” Stansfield. Tom retired in 1991 from the maintance department at the Horseheads Central School District. He was a veteran of the US Army and a dedicated father husband, grandfather, and friend.
