Obituary of Janice K. Magill

MAGILL, Janice K. Age 81 of Horseheads and formerly Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away June 18, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband, Col. Henry F. Magill USA (Ret). Janice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather (Patrick) Donovan of Horseheads; grandchildren, Colleen and Shannon Donovan; brother, Robert Kirby of Charlotte, NC; nieces and nephew; and many friends throughout the years traveling with her husband during his tenure in the US Army. Janice was a local resident at Bethany Village and a former member of Belin Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC. She enjoyed volunteering for many organizations, including a time as president of the Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary in Huntsville and member of Huntsville Rotary in Huntsville, AL. She was active with the Randolph School and was also a secretary there. Janice’s family meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren, and she always loved a good game of bridge. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 11:00-12:00 noon. Her service officiated by the Reverend Mary Ann Bernard will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 12:00 noon. Burial in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira at the convenience of the family.
