Obituary of Richard N. Minor

Minor, Richard N. Age 91 of Penn Yan and formerly longtime resident of W. Broad St. in Horseheads passed away July 14, 2016. Dick was born in Ithaca, NY June 7, 1925 to the late Cecil and Mildred (Harper) Minor. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carmen (Victor) Minor; Son and Daughter, Brian (Debora) Minor of Penn Yan, NY; Debra (Donald) Minor-Schork of Edenton, NC; Grandchildren, Blaine Minor, Brendan Minor and Brianne (Arthur) Kirk; Great grandson, Arthur “Ace” Kirk IV; Sisters, Pat Fitzgerald and Jane Minor. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Harold, Spencer and Linda. Dick was a veteran of the US Army, communicant of St. Mary Out Mother Church in Horseheads, member of BPO Elks Penn Yan Lodge #1722, Horseheads American Legion Bentley-Trumble Post and member of Breesport Southern Light Lodge #725 F. A.M. Dick worked in the food service of the Horseheads Central School District, St. Joseph’s Hospital as an orderly, as a courier for the Elmira Heights School District. Dick was a big sports fan and enjoyed attending Horseheads and Penn Yan High School athletic events. At his request there will be no prior services.
