Obituary of Dorothy R. Fisher

Dorothy R. Fisher Age 80 of Leisure Lane and formerly a long time resident of Park Terrace in Horseheads passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 30, 2016. Dotty was born in Norfolk, VA, August 22, 1936, to the late Marcellus and Margaret (Saunders) Roberts. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Fisher, in 2007. Her surviving family includes her daughter and son, Karen (Robert) Hulbert of Pittsford, NY and Michael Fisher of Houston TX; nieces, Clara and Katie; and a host of many friends. She was also predeceased by her sister and brothers, Walter, William, and Marguerite. Dottie was a communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church. She was a retired business teacher at EFA in Elmira. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and member of the Horseheads Moose. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 4-7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Our Mother Church, 816 West Broad St., Horseheads on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 9:30 am.
