Obituary of James M. Cunningham

CUNNINGHAM, James M. Age 69, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry Lyles, Jr. and Evelyn Alberta (Wright) Cunningham; Brothers, Rudy and Robert Cunningham. Jim is survived by Sharron, his loving and caring wife of 36 years; daughter Kim Boss of Arizona; Sisters, Theresa Cunningham, Phyllis (Robert) Staples, and Carol Barnard; Sisters-in-laws, Susan Corbett, Denise (James) Mott, Cathy (Gary) Wolf, Robin (John) Makinster, Jamie Gullo (John Sepelak), Carolyn (Robert) Guyer; Many nieces and nephews and devoted cousins and friends. Jim was a self employed contractor owning and operating Southern Tier Contracting for many years. He operated Cunningham Auto Sales and with his passion for cars, Jim also continued to operate his automotive repair and paint shop. Jim was a devoted husband and his pride and joy was raising and showing his prize pigeons which won many awards. A special thank you to Clint and Jane Berry for all their kindness and support. Graveside service will take place on Monday at 9:30 am in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads.
