Obituary of Maryann Tacka

TACKA, Maryann Age 74 of Prospect Hill Rd. in Horseheads passed away after an extended illness at home surrounded by her family on Dec. 24, 2016. Maryann is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, John Tacka; Her sons, Steve, Shawn and Mark Hartman, John’s daughter, Corrinna Dutton of Elmira Heights, NY; Sisters and brothers, Kathy Berry, Betsy Pierce, Tom, John, Jerry and Gus Andrus and former husband, Ron Hartman. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Maryann was also predeceased by John’s daughter, Jelene Peck. Maryann was born in Elmira, NY July 20, 1942. She was a devoted and active member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and a retired supervisor with Verizon Telephone. She was a graduate of Corning Community College, supporter and independent distributor of Youngevity, and wonderful writer and a women with an infectious smile and a love for people.
