Obituary of Keith F. Mathews

Keith F. Mathews Age 83 of Horseheads and formerly a longtime resident of Dutchess County, NY, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017. Keith was born January 17, 1934, in Jermyn, PA, to Rutherford and Edna (Landsiedel) Mathews. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn, in 1997; and second wife, Noreen “Pat” Mathews, in 2011. He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Mikalonis of West Granby, CT, Amy (John) Mathews Amos of Shepherdstown, WV, Deborah (Brian) Lynch of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Sarah, Katie, and Danica Lynch; Frank and Anna Mikalonis; sister, Gail Muller of NJ; Pat’s sons, Guido and Victor Ziliani; several nieces and nephews including, Gregory Garrison, Christopher and Eric Muller. He was also predeceased by his brother, Melvin Mathews. Keith graduated first in his class from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and also received his Master’s Degree from Syracuse University. Keith was a retired Electrical Engineer having worked at Poughkeepsie, East Fishkill and Kingston IBM Plants. He was an avid sportsman and Fly fisherman and member of Trout Unlimited. He enjoyed his vocation, the outdoors and traveling the world to fish.
