Obituary of John D. Raplee, Jr.

RAPLEE, John D., Jr. Age 33 of Montour Falls passed away after a long battle with cancer on Thursday, March 2, 2017. John was born in Elmira, NY, January 11, 1984, to John and Gloria (Mullen) Raplee, Sr. In addition to his parents, John and Gloria Raplee, he is also survived by his brother, Ryan (Jennilee) Raplee of Williamsport, PA; maternal grandmother, Joan Mullen-Keys; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; friends; and beloved dog, “Alonna.” John was a graduate of Odessa-Montour Class of 2002 and a graduate with an Associate’s Degree in Science from CCC. He was a life long student and history was his passion. John was a longtime Star Trek fan and hard core gamer. He was proud to have worked for the Montour Pharmacy before his illness. John was a faithful Catholic, everyone who crossed John’s path never forgot him. He leaves behind many teachers and friends. Services with the Barber Funeral Home will take place privately with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads.
