Obituary of Francis M. McChesney

McChesney, Francis M. of Appleridge formerly of Big Flats, NY, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017. He is survived by sons, Brian F. (Margaret) McChesney and Timothy W. (Julie) McChesney all of Horseheads; grandchildren, Patrick William McChesney of Big Flats and Carrie Arlene McChesney of Corning; great granddaughter, Hayleigh Jade Bosick; and sisters, Gloria Robinson of Dansville, NY, Carol (Reed) Walrath of Corning, NY, Susan (William) Holmes of KY; several nieces and nephews. Francis was predeceased by hi s wife, Nancy J. McChesney, in April 2016; and son, Patrick in 1968. Fran was a US Air force Veteran. He was a retired self employed distributor and later retired from Pepsi Bottling Corp. in Horseheads. Having established many loyal clients in the region, Fran was affectionately known as “Fran the Pepsi Man.” Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 4-6:00 pm. Service will follow at 6:00 pm.
