Obituary of Pauline Silsbee Long

LONG, Pauline Silsbee Age 87 of Horseheads and Painted Post went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Pauline was born in Williamsport, PA to Delmar and Jennie (Giddings) Silsbee on July 30, 1929. She is survived by daughters and son; Nancy Long of Elmira, NY, Susan Long of Newmarket, NH, Tim (Patti) Long of Chula Vista, CA; Grandchildren, Rebekah (George) Torres, Anna (Tim) Slade, Aaron (Lindsay) Long, Daniel Long; Great grandchildren, C.J. and Naomi Slade, Ariana, Leia, and Isaiah Torres, Wren Long. Pauline was a woman of great faith who stood by her husband Jacks’ side in his ministries at the First Baptist Church of Buda Illinois, First Baptist Church of Montour Falls, and the First Baptist Church of Painted Post. Pauline was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. Her delightful sense of humor will truly be missed. Family and friends are invited to call at the American Baptist Church in Big Flats on Monday, May 15th from 6-8:00 pm. Pauline’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 16th, at 9:00 am in the American Baptist Church 180 Hibbard Rd. Big Flats, NY, 14814 with the Rev. Michael Dickinson and Rev. Horace Stoddard officiating. Burial service to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Williamsport PA.
