Obituary of Howard F. ""Butch"" Reese, Jr.

REESE, Howard F. Jr. “Butch” Age 73 of Lyons Dr. Big Flats and formerly longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, NY Passed away June 4, 2017. Howard was born June 15, 1943 in Elmira NY to Howard and Ethel (Winters) Reese. He is survived his sister, Judith Robinson, Nieces, Joy Greenwald and Marie Spuller and Holly Beck all of North Carolina Many cousins and extended family members. In addition to his parents and K-9 pals, Howard was also predeceased by his wife, Gerrilyn Reese. Butch was a NYS Corrections Officer having worked at Sing Sing Correctional Facility. He was also Maintance Manager of Children’s Hospital in Wappinger’s Falls NY. Butch was also a Veteran of the US Air force serving as a aviation mechanic during the Vietnam War. Family and friends are invited to call today June 6, 2017 from 12:00 noon-1:00 pm. His service will be celebrated there at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours at 1:00 pm. with his cousin Rev. Gary Smith officiating.
