Obituary of Mary Henrietta (Groh) Mengee

MENGEE, Mary Henrietta Groh Age 95 of Horseheads passed away Mon, Jun 12, 2017. She was born Feb. 25, 1922 to Henry and Mary (Kenagie) Groh. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Mengee in 1991; and is survived by her daughters, Carol (Doug) Laney of Horseheads, NY Margene (Gregg) Thomas of Newfield, NY; grandchildren, Scott Laney and Sarah Thomas; sic great grandchildren. Mary was the last survivor of her two brothers and four sisters. Mary was a longtime member and former secretary of North Presbyterian Church in Elmira. She was retired Post Mistress for Elmira College and lifelong member of Order of Eastern Star. Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Sat June 17, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the First Presbyterian Church, 2943 Westinghouse Rd. Horseheads, NY.
