Obituary of Francis ""Paul"" P Stermer

STERMER, Francis P. “Paul” Age 86 of Breesport Rd. in Erin passed away after a brief illness on Aug. 2, 2017. He was born in Elmira, NY to John and Grace (Dupree) Stermer and is survived his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Crawford) Stermer; Sons and daughters, Deborah (David) Blauvelt of Erin, NY, Thomas (Mary) Stermer of Elmira, NY, Karen (John) Seewald of Horseheads, NY, Paul (Virginia) Stermer of Carbondale, PA; 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and many friends. Sister, Helen Cassada and brother, Alfred Stermer. Sisters-in-law, Lucy Stermer, Kathleen Stermer, and Judy Crawford. He was also predeceased by his brothers, John, Edward, Albert, Robert, and Raymond Stermer and sisters, Rena Roblyer and Rose Ann Stermer; Brother-in-law, David Crawford. Paul was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War. He was retired from AmeriGas in Watkins Glen as their driver and service manager. He was a member of Horseheads American Legion and communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church. He was also a member of “Land of the Seneca’s”. He was a caring husband, father and grandfather and a man who loved nature and animals. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Monday Aug. 7, 2017 from 4-6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 W.
