Obituary of Rose Overdurf

OVERDURF, Rose of Aster Dr. Horseheads passed away Tues. Dec. 12, 2017. Rose was born in Batavia, NY to the late Pasquale and Caroline (Guadagno) Saquella. She was predeceased by her husband Ray Overdurf Sr. in 1996 and is survived by her daughters and son, Cheryll (J.R.) McFarland, Pamela Overdurf and Ray (Kara) Overdurf all of Horseheads; Grandchildren, Tricia and Patrick McFarland, Rachel, Thomas and Amanda Overdurf; Sisters, Frances Oakley of Indiana and Lucy Binks of Washington DC along with several extended family members, nieces, and nephews. Rose was also predeceased by her sister, Ruth Shanley and brothers, Mike and Patsy Saquella and her cherished dog “Bandit”. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, and sister who stayed close with her siblings. She was a private lady who enjoyed the company of her family. She was a devout NY Mets fan, an avid gardener who enjoyed being outside getting her hands dirty and making things grow. At her request service with the Barber Funeral Home will take place privately.
