Obituary of Velma J. Beaulieu

Velma J. Beaulieu Age 86, of Horseheads passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. She was born in Corning, NY September 21, 1931, the daughter of the late Leon F. and Agnes (Razey) Sargent. She married Joseph G. Beaulieu in March 2nd 1957; a marriage that would last nearly 60 years. In addition to her parents, Velma is predeceased by her dear husband Joseph G. Beaulieu, July 6, 2015, and their son Richard Beaulieu. She is survived by her children, James F. Beaulieu with wife Debbie (Holton) of Freeville, NY, Lori A. Frost (Beaulieu) of Elmira, NY, Joseph G. Beaulieu II with wife Carolyn (Fish) of Elmira, NY, and Rose A. Beaulieu with husband Kevin J. Stanton of Lockwood, NY; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Irene Marcoux-Beaulieu of New Hampshire; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Velma is remembered as she was, a loving wife and mother. She loved to dance, always enjoyed time spent with family, and was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary, Post 1178. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 412 South Main Street, Horseheads on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Velma’s funeral service will be held there at 4:00 pm. Private interment and committal will take place in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery, Horseheads, at a later date.
