Obituary of Laurence M. Cobb

COBB, Laurence M. Age 83 of Sing Sing Rd. Horseheads passed away Mar 10, 2018. Larry was born . Sept. 8, 1934 in Elmira, NY to the late Harold and Mildred (Johnson) Cobb. He is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Lorraine (Clark) Cobb; sons, Theodore (Cynthia) Cobb of Horseheads, Timothy Cobb of Burke, VA; Grandchildren, Chaela(Jake) Dugat, Kyleigh (Wayne) Rogers, Elizabeth, Ilhea, and Dakota Cobb; Great-grandchildren, Alexis, Talia and Charlotte; many extended family members and close and caring friends. Larry was a devoted and active member of Horseheads First United Methodist Church. He retired from Guthrie in Sayre working in their resource department. He had also been previously employed at Ingersoll Rand, Facet and Sumi Rail. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball. Family and friends are invited to attend his service in the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church 1034 W. Broad St. Horseheads on Thurs. Mar. 15, 2018 at 11:00 am. Family and friends will also be received there in the Chapel from 10:30 am until 11:00 am prior to his service. A private interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Larry with memorials to the Prayer Garden at the First United Methodist Church 1034 W. Broad St. Horseheads NY 14845.
