Obituary of Charles Miller

Miller, Charles M. Age 91 of Binghamton and formerly of Marshall St. in Horseheads passed away Thurs. Mar. 29, 2018. Charles was born Mar. 19, 1927 in Elmira, NY, to Edward and Helen (Everts) Miller. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Lou (Donaldson) Miller; Daughter and sons, Tracey (David) Crooks of Binghamton, NY, Craig (Donna) Miller of Windsor, NY, Jeffrey (Mary) Miller of Pittsford, NY; Grandchildren, Kevin and Kayleen Miller and Emma and Zachary Crooks. Chuck was also predeceased by his brother, Edward Miller Jr. Charlie was a Graduate of Cornell University and a retired Loan Service Officer and Appraiser for the Farm Credit Service in Horseheads. While raising his family in Horseheads, he and Betty Lou were longtime residents of Marshall St. and members of the Horseheads First Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Horseheads Rotary. Charlie was a veteran of the US Army and member of the American Legion. He was a woodworker and an avid collector of WWII memorabilia. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Tues. Apr. 3, 2018 from 3-5:00 pm. His service will be celebrated in the First Presbyterian Church 2943 Westinghouse Rd. Horseheads on Wed. at 11:00 am with graveside and interment with military honors to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
