Obituary of Diane Cordick Noyes

NOYES, Diane Cordick Age 62 of W. Church St. Elmira passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 23rd, 2018, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Diane was born March 6th, 1956, in Elmira Heights to Robert and Jane (Voight) Cordick. Diane was predeceased by her mother, Jane, and is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bruce “Skip” Noyes; father, Robert Cordick of Elmira Heights; children, Brian (Jessica) Kelly of Elmira Heights, Andrew (Anna Chapman) Noyes of Ithaca, and Sean (Erica Smith) Kelly also of Elmira Heights; grandchildren, whom she adored, Dillon Rollins and Kennedy Kelly; sisters, Patricia Boehl of Elmira Heights and Linda (John) Vanderpoel of Horseheads; several nieces, nephews and host of co-workers and friends. Diane grew up in the Heights, graduated from Thomas A. Edison and retired from NYS Department of Corrections as a Regional Supervisor “CIM” for the Elmira Correctional Facility Hub. Diane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Family was her greatest treasure. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. Diane loved spending summers at Keuka Lake with family and friends. She had a passion for life and lived everyday to the fullest. She touched many people with her smile, infectious laugh and witty sense of humor; which was never lost. Diane will be missed by all. There must have been a special position in Heaven for the “di-rector”. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4-7:00 pm. Her service will be celebrated at the funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 am with a grave side service to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
