Obituary of Gayle A. McKaig

McKAIG, Gayle A. (DePue) Age 84 of Big Flats, NY. She was born April 15, 1934, daughter of the late Frank and Laura DePue, and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 17, 2018. In addition to her parents, Gayle was predeceased by her husband, Thomas McKaig Sr., in 1993 as well as brothers Frank and Eldon DePue. She is survived by her five sons and their wives, Thomas McKaig Jr., Fred (Beth), Kevin (Barb) Sr., Daniel (Kim Olbert), and James; brother Robert DePue; sisters Carla (Mike) Bouille, Martha (George) Smith; sisters in law Anna DePue and Evelyn Wheeler; grandsons Kevin (Jennifer) McKaig Jr., Josh (Tiffany) McKaig, Robert McKaig; granddaughters Andrea (Travis) Schwartz, Jenifer (Mark) Stout, Laura Cejka, and Sheena (Kyle) Ector; along with several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their children. Special love to Nancy Oshann (you know why) and Denise Kasubinski. After retiring from St. Joseph’s Hospital after 30 years, Gayle’s time was spent enjoying her family and loved ones. Be at peace; our love for you still lives on in us. Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads on Saturday, August 25th 2018 from 4 pm to 5 pm.
