Obituary of Barbara Arcovio

ARCOVIO, Barbara J. Age 79 of Bethany Village passed away Fri. Sept. 7, 2018. Barbara was born in Gang Mills, NY to the late Lawrence and Helen (Sargent) Dixon. She is survived by her sons and daughters, Anthony (Paula) Arcovio of Elmira, NY, Angela Arcovio of Horseheads, NY, Charles (Tina) Arcovio of New Bloomsfield, PA , Mari (Dan) Palmer of Horseheads, NY, and Frank (Jennifer) Arcovio of New Fane, NY; Grandchildren, Sonya (Chuck) DeMasters, Kelli (Kyle Easling) Arcovio, Stacy (Tim) Winter, Katie (Steven) Ruggiano, Kevin Arcovio, Joseph Romen, Mickenzie (Alyssa Prince) Palmer, Marissa, Brendan, Nichols and Nolan Arcovio; great grandchildren, Seth, Joslyn and Teagan, Keegan, Brianna, Payton, Kayla and Kylie; sisters and brother, Doris Pierce, Diane Crowl, Judy Faulkner , Penny Root and Richard Dixon; She was also predeceased by her siblings, Janice, Gary, Larry, Ted and Harold Dixon, Virginia Conover, Gloria Vaughn and Mitzie Presha. Barbara was a member of Corning Painted Post Moose and also attended the Elmira Grotto. She also worked at Rudy’s Restaurant, Topps Market in Horseheads and in the Dietary Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S Main St. Horseheads on Monday Sept. 10, 2018 from 4-6:00 pm. Her service will be celebrated at the conclusion of calling hours at 6:00 pm. Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 am in Fairview Cemetery in Painted Post, NY. NOTICE: officers and members of Corning- Painted Post Moose will gather at the Barber Funeral Home on Monday at 5:45 pm to conduct a memorial service for their departed sister.
