Obituary of Theodore Pierce
PIERCE, Theodore G. Jr.
Age 91 and longtime resident of Hickory Grove Road, Horseheads passed away Mon. Sept. 17, 2018. Ted was born in Burlington, VT, Mar. 7, 1927 to the late Theodore and Irene (Card) Pierce Sr. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris in 2007 and is also survived by his wife Jean (Ross) Pierce;
daughter, Susan Hagen of Big Flats, NY; son, Douglas and Anna Marie Pierce of Boxbough, MA; grandchildren, Daniel (Kimberly) Pierce, Jennifer (Chris) Roy, Jenna and Brittany Pierce and Regis Hagen; great grandchildren, Madison and Christopher Roy and Olivia and Alexander Pierce; brother, Bruce Pierce of Leroy, NY. Ted was also predeceased by his son-in-law, Wayne Hagen and sister, Barbara Pierce, brother, Llewellyn Pierce. Ted was a retired sales manager with Conrail in Philadelphia, PA. Locally he was a member of Horseheads First United Methodist Church. Ted was active with many facets of the Masonic brotherhood where he was a member for 50 years. He was raised in 1968 in MA and transferred to Horseheads in 1969. He held every chair at somepoint including past master and OES Patron several times. Of his many accolades through Blue Lodge, Ted was instrumental with the organization of the CHILD-ID program and the Masonic Newspaper. He was proud of his activities in Lodge and also a proud veteran of the US Army. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St, Horseheads on Sat. Sept. 22, 2018 from 12:00 noon–1:00 pm with service to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial with military honors will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Those wishing are invited to remember Ted through memorials to the Masonic Brotherhood Fund PO Box 9020 Hicksville, NY 11802-9020, Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or to your favorite animal charity.
NOTICE Officers and members of Horseheads Old Oak Lodge #364 F. & A. M. will gather at the funeral home on Sat. at 12:45 pm to conduct a service for their departed brother.
