Obituary of Sarah 'Sally" Jones

JONES, Sarah Louise “Sally” 89, formerly of Erin, NY, died July 26, 2018 of natural causes. She was born January 29, 1929 in Town of Baldwin, NY., to the late Frank and Leah (Staples) Elston. Sally married her husband George on May 10, 1947 at the Breesport Baptist Church. She was a stay-at- home mother and homemaker until their children were old enough to attend High School. She then took a job working at Brown’s Pharmacy, Horseheads, NY. After working there for 27 years, Sally and George retired to Lakeside, AZ. in 1988. She is survived by her sister, Arlene (Elwin) Robinson of Elmira, NY; her children, Dovie (Gerry) Carpenter of Pearce, AZ., George (Marilou) Jones of Knoxville, TN., Jerry (Jeanne) Jones of Lawrenceville, PA., William (Carol) Jones of Tucson, AZ.; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George, and brother Frank Elston. Burial will be held at the Scotchtown Cemetery in Erin, NY. at the convenience of the family.
