Obituary of Delbert Arthur Foster
Delbert Arthur Foster was called to join our Heavenly Father on February 26, 2019.
Delbert was born June 11, 1938, the son of Arthur J. and Bessie B. Foster. Born in Sayre, PA, he resided in Elmira area for most of his life. He worked for Volunteers of America, collecting donated items for those in need. One of his passions was riding his bicycle around the area; sometimes for several miles. He loved sight-seeing and nature, along with fishing, drawing, National Geographics, and Western cowboy movies. He loved spending Sundays evenings having dinner with his daughter, granddaughter, and grand-babies. He shared the same birthday as his great-granddaughters, Aviana and Gabrella Watson.
His life's accomplishments are shown in the hearts and souls of his family and all those who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Foster-Ottaviano; son Delbert (Holly) Foster-Paul; grandchildren Ashley & Michael Ottaviano, Kayla, Stephanie & Larrisa Paul; great-grandchildren Aviiana & Gabrella Watson, Brayden Morris & Jacob Keyes; along with a host of cousins including Ed (Sandy) Hoose.
The family welcomes guest and family to attend a graveside service for Delbert on thursday, March 7th 2019 at 2 pm at the Wodlawn Cemetery, Elmira.
